How to read it

Why a map at all

Because SPG52 is spread thin. A neurologist may see one child in a career. A family may be the only one in their country. Seeing that there are others, and roughly where, is often the first thing a newly diagnosed family asks for. It also shows why the fundraising is global: there is one gene therapy program for all of these children, and it is being funded family by family, country by country. See how to give.
